Reporting to Manager of Diabetic Education Centre, the successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning implementation and evaluating patient care and practice activities in a multidisciplinary family centred care environment.   The Dietitian is responsible for patient assessment of nutrition and nutritional concerns, and therapeutic nutritional intervention, education and counselling where appropriate.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be eligible for membership with the College of Dietitians of Ontario

• Excellent clinical knowledge and skills

• Ability to build strong rapport with physicians, other health care professionals, patients and program managers.

• Sound knowledge base in nutrition, biochemistry and Physiology and the ability to learn new areas quickly

• Relevant clinical experience in the areas of medicine, paediatrics, obstetrics, continuing care and rehabilitation, will be considered an asset.
