Rouge Valley Health System offers comprehensive pacemaker and implantable cardioverter defibrilator (ICD) programs consisting of evaluation, implantation and follow-up and ongoing management of patients and their pacemakers or ICD devices.

Arrhythmia management services

The arrhythmia management services offered at Rouge Valley include:

• Holter monitor

• Continuous loop recorder

• Implantable loop recorder

• Electrocardiogram (ECG)

• Echocardiogram

• Ambulatory blood pressure (BP) monitor

Pacemaker and ICD follow up

• Pacemaker

• Implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD)

Pre- and post-implant education is provided by staff and physicians. Patients are seen at designated appointment times or as required. All follow-up appointments are supervised by a cardiologist specializing in pacemakers and ICDs.

Electrophysiology

The arrhythmia management program also includes invasive cardiac electrophysical services, provided by experienced electrophysiologists. Electrophysiology testing includes ablations for the cure of arrhythmia in appropriate candidates.
