As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the incumbent will focus on improving clinical outcomes and standards of care for cardiac patients with a focus on Arrhythmia illnesses through patient assessment, follow-up, coordination of patient care for all aspects of the patient experience including participation with implantation of devices and EP/Ablation interventions.  The incumbent will be able to perform device management, including interrogation during implants and on follow up clinic visits.       


  • BScN Preferred

  • Current certification with the College of Nurses of Ontario

  • Competent to perform CPR at a Basic Cardiac Life Support level

  • ACLS is required

  • Minimum 3 years experience with Arrhythmia services

  • Minimum 2 years experience with comprehensive device management and  confidence in interrogation of both Pacemaker and ICD required

  • IHBRE certification preferred

  • Experience in program planning and implementation an asset

  • Commitment to the quality of care of our patients, evidence based practice, and a clear understanding of professional standards

  • Demonstrated ability to provide professional practice leadership, to challenge and motivate others and to provide adaptive clinical care sensitive to cultural and ethnoracial diversity

  • Knowledgeable and committed to promoting healthy work environments

  • Demonstrated pattern of good attendance and work record

  • Computer skills should include competency with word, Excel, Power Point, Meditech
