About our Program
We are leaders in cardiac care.
Cardiac care is a centre of excellence at Rouge Valley Health System and in the 401 corridor of the Central East Local Health Integration Network (CE LHIN). The CE LHIN designated our cardiac care program as a regional centre in its Hospital Clinical Services Plan of 2009, recognizing the expertise of our staff and physicians. Our hospital's team, of 12 cardiologists and more than 100 health care professionals, is committed to superior clinical expertise and quality of patient care.
As the designated cardiac centre for the Scarborough-Durham area, Rouge Valley's cardiac care program is home to the most comprehensive range of cardiac services across the region. Everyday here at our two hospital campuses, our highly-qualified and experienced staff deliver excellent cardiac care to patients from local and surrounding communities.

Cardiac Services
Cardiac patients often require more than diagnosis services. They may also need treatment and help managing their condition or disease.
Here at Rouge Valley, we have a full-service cardiac program. Patients coming to us have access to the complete range of cardiac services available in the Scarborough/Durham region—from diagnostics tests; to coronary interventions and inpatient coronary care; to cardiac rehabilitation, education and ongoing disease management.
