Hands Up Film Festival PDF Print E-mail

Rouge Valley Health System held its first-ever Hands Up Film Festival (HUFF) from Sept. 8 to 26, 2011. The festival showcased 10 one-minute-long films that were produced by and feature our own Rouge Valley staff, physicians and volunteers.

We challenged everyone working at the hospital to demonstrate why they feel practicing proper hand hygiene is so important, and put it in a movie—and they accepted that challenge!

Film festival winner

The award for the HUFF 2011 Best Film goes to Women In Black: Protecting the universe… one hand at a time, produced by and starring: Natalie Bansavatar, surgical program assistant, RVHS; Michelle Dakin, business continuity and emergency preparedness lead, RVHS; and Akilah Dressekie, senior communications specialist, RVHS.
