As part of our hospital's mission to provide the best health care experience for our patients and their families, we have developed a Patient Declaration of Values document. The values list, in everyday language, what our patients and community want and expect from our hospital team. Our job as your community hospital is to deliver on your expectations.

Background

The initial draft of our Patient Declaration of Values was created by our volunteer Community Advisory Group at the start of 2011. We then took the draft version to the our staff, physicians, volunteers, and the community for review and input. We collected feedback from focus groups and public presentations, as well as via an online survey. This robust public consultation was also in accordance with the provincial government’s Excellent Care for All Act.

The final version of the Patient Declaration of Values was approved by the hospital's Board of Directors on May 24, 2011.
