Rouge Valley Health System is offering something unique to community hospitals outside of downtown Toronto.

The RVHS Radiation Evaluation Clinic opened in the spring of 2005 at Rouge Valley Centenary hospital.

One of four radiation oncologists from Durham Regional Cancer Care will meet patients, along with a medical oncologist or surgeon, to review diagnostic tests, their care to date and will plan future treatment.

Patients receiving their radiation treatments at Sunnybrook and Women’s College Health Sciences Centre will now have the more convenient option of having their ongoing evaluation much closer to home, at Rouge Valley Centenary.

The clinic is open Monday and Thursday afternoons.
