To help us manage this quality improvement effort, we use a number of provincially approved performance indicators.

• Hospital-aquired infection rates (C. difficile, MRSA, VRE)

• Hand hygiene compliance rate

• Safer Healthcare Now! interventions (SSI, CLI, VAP)

• Hospital standardized mortality ratio (HSMR)

• Surgical safety checklist compliance
