Janet Ecker

Janet L. Ecker is President of the Toronto Financial Services Alliance, a public-private partnership between the City of Toronto and the financial sector, and is also Tramore Group’s advisor on public policy, governance and public-private sector relationships.

A frequent media commentator and public speaker, she sits on a number of corporate and non-profit boards and is a fellow with the School of Policy Studies at Queen’s University.

A former Ontario Finance Minister, she represented the Ajax-Pickering communities as an MPP for eight years. During that time she also served as Minister of Education, Minister of Community and Social Services and Government House Leader. Previously, Janet was also the policy director for the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, the regulatory body for the province’s doctors.
