Mark Jackson

Mark is President, CEO and Chief Investment Officer of AEGON Capital Management Inc. AEGON Capital Management is a Toronto based investment counsel with over $9 billion under management. AEGON Capital is a wholly owned subsidiary of AEGON Canada, which in turn is owned by AEGON N.V. AEGON N.V. is one of the world's largest life insurance and pension companies, and a strong provider of investment products. With headquarters in The Hague, the Netherlands, AEGON companies employ approximately 29,000 people worldwide. AEGON's businesses serve millions of customers in over twenty markets throughout the Americas, Europe, and Asia, with major operations in the United States, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

At AEGON Capital Mark is responsible for the overall direction and strategy for the organization and is the lead manager for AEGON Capital’s Canadian Balanced and Canadian small cap equity funds. Mark has over twenty years experience in the investment industry in Canada.

Before joining AEGON, Mark managed equity and small-cap equity funds at Colonia Life. Mark has 20 years experience in both Canadian equity and fixed-income markets. He earned his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 1991 and is a member of the Toronto CFA Society and the CFA Institute.

Mark lives in Whitby with his wife Julie and their two children and has lived in the Durham region for over 20 years.
