Mission, Vision and Values
The constant change in healthcare and philanthropy today is creating new challenges, but also opportunities for those organizations that are flexible enough to respond and adapt. The Rouge Valley Health System Foundation is committed to being a leader in changing healthcare by enabling donors to invest in the health of our community, today and tomorrow. To ensure the Foundation is prepared to meet the needs of the future, we have developed a strategic plan to guide us for the next three years.
The plan is a result of a comprehensive and inclusive six-month strategic planning process approved by the Foundation Board. We would like to thank all staff, physicians and volunteers for their input and feedback into this very important planning process.

• Integrity and Trust: We will continue to earn respect and trust and act with integrity as responsible stewards of donor contributions.
• Leadership and Accountability: We will demonstrate leadership in our community and fund development activities, and be accountable for the funds entrusted to us.
• Caring and Commitment: We will demonstrate caring and commitment and be guided by RVHS’s commitment to family centered care and caring for all members of the community.
• Innovation and Growth: We will be innovative in response to the evolving nature of fund development and in building strong donor relationships and will strive to grow/strengthen the connection between health needs and resources in our community.
The plan will be implemented over the next three years. We invite everyone to share our vision as we move forward into an exciting future in partnership with the hospital, our donors and the community.
