As part of our new Strategic Plan-on-a-Page and commitment to continuous improvement, the Hospital will provide all of its staff and physicians with the knowledge, tools, and support required to lead the industry in defining and delivering the best healthcare experience.
The Performance Evaluation Specialist is part of a team specializing in supporting the organization’s information and analysis needs including but not limited to: clinical activity (quality and utilization), benchmarking, clinical indicator development, impact analysis of Health System Funding Reform initiatives and population health. The incumbent will be part of a high profile and well respected team in supporting the organization in making evidence-based decisions. Rouge Valley is committed to the deployment of Lean thinking as the fundamental philosophy underpinning our transformation efforts.
- Undergraduate degree in Statistics, Epidemiology, Applied Math or other quantitative discipline.
Exceptional technical skills related to working with large data sets.
Experience preparing analyses of activity and utilization management.
Exceptional written and oral communications skills.
Knowledge of Case Mix Methodology, DAD & NACRS, OMHRS, CCRS and NRS.
Knowledge of RUG, RPG, and SCIPP methodologies is an asset
Knowledge of Business Intelligence systems.
Knowledge of health care costing, reporting requirements (including MIS Guidelines), funding methodologies and quality management methodologies.
Knowledge of International Classification of Diseases ICD-10 and the Canadian Classification of Interventions is an asset
Knowledge of Statistics Canada data, including Census data.
Knowledge of SAS is an asset
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
Advance experience or training in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Ability to work co-operatively with all levels of hospital staff and physicians
Demonstrated pattern of good attendance and work record
Exposure to Lean principles, an understanding of methodologies and tools and a commitment to the use of these in support of providing the best healthcare experience possible to our patients
Demonstrates an understanding of and commitment to Rouge Valley's comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff safety, patient safety, and environmental safety and participates in regular in-service education in this area.
Must demonstrate a commitment to customer service when dealing with patients, colleagues, volunteers and other members of the community and public
